know that blogging is time consuming .It needs a lot of time, hard work and patience.
Most of blogger time is spent in research on what to post and creating original content. Once the content creation ends their starts another hectic job and
that is how to write Post titles & SEO, Post promotion also takes time, the
posts must be promoted everywhere to get maximum exposure and receive good traffic,
else all the efforts will be useless.
So today we will learn how to get maximum search
engine favor for all the posts we wrote. Yes! We will learn how to submit site
map to Google. It’s a key work in promoting blog and getting maximum traffic
for a blog, because if the search engine doesn’t crawl content how come a blog
will receive the traffic. We will submit site map to Google, so that search
engine crawl all the posts in the blog. and once the search engine
(Google) crawl our content then it’s
easy to get visitors.
How to create sitemap for Blog? : Follow the Steps
Let’s get straight to work. Now we will submit sitemap
by following the below steps
Log-in to your Google Webmaster account with your g-mail Id, (a single g-mail id can be used to access all the services offered
by Google these services include Blogger, Feedburner, Youtube,
Google Plus, Analytics) etc
Once you sign in click on the blog for which you
want to submit your site map. When you click the blog it will show all the
detail about the blog in the left sidebar of the website.Click on optimization
and then sitemaps
Now, click on [add/test sitemap] and just paste the
below code in the text box
atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500
Now you can click on submit sitemap to submit and
you can also test the sitemap before submitting by clicking on test sitemap.
Click on submit sitemap and it’s all done: Congratulations
If your blog has more than 500 posts, then you have
to submit two sitemaps. After submitting the first one, click again on sitemaps
and then paste the below code in the text box like we did before.
atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=500&max-results=1000
Now Google will crawl all of your posts till 1000.Once
your posts exceeds thousand you can submit the third sitemap with the same
code.
